Valentia Island Sprint

Well done to Paul Minahan who took first in his age group in appauling conditions in Valentia on saturday. The swim had to be moved inside the harbour and athletes were treated to the full rigours of Irish weather for the event which make the result even more impressive.

Group 2.(Kenco Squad)

I will be taking group 2 in the morning from Emily Sq at 09.45.We will have to wait for group 1 again..:).Do the 40 K loop....back to Emily Sq, have a coffee & home again.Of course Driving to and from athy...This will be a easy cycle & everyone welcome.

Sunday morning spin

Hi all,

 

 Sunday the 22nd morning spin will be heading for Athy,we will leave the gym at 9 o clock sharp[sorry for the early start] When we arrive in Athy we will be cycling the new 40k loop for Tri Athy.The total distance including over and back is about 90k, so if you don't fancy that we will be meeting in Emily Square at 9: 45 if you just want to cycle the loop.Hope to see you there. Note 9 o clock start from the gym.....

Just to let everyone know that Michael Dalton did the club proud AGAIN in Fingal today. I can't make out the results through the TI Website but I think he was placed well within the top 10.

Half iron Mallorca

Just a mention for Avril Byrne who finished 2nd in her age group in the 70.3 in Mallorca and qualified for the world's final in Las Vegas, she did 5:23 overall. Well done Avril.

Michael Dalton and Trilogy in local press

Pick up a copy of either the Laois Nationalist or the Leinster Express this week to read the report and see the pictur eabout Michael Daltons European medal in Limerick; there are some nice shots of the club too. With a big thanks to Murt's Dad, Tim, who took the shots and helped me get the report in.
